Temperature meter
- Measuring principle

The Kirchgaesser TEMEX temperature meter features a quartz sensor or a semiconductor sensor, depending on customer requirements and the intended application.

Quartz sensor

  • TEMEX with quartz sensors features a vibrating quartz as a measuring element. The resonance frequency of the vibrating quartz changes depending on the temperature and can be measured very accurately.
  • Benefits:

    • High resolution
    • Very precise, stable and frequency-dependent temperature sensor

Semiconductor sensor

  • A semiconductor sensor is a special sensor for measuring temperature based on semiconductor materials. It generates an electrical variable that is proportional to the absolute temperature.
