The robust and reliable PEM-EX‑L pressure meter for general mining applications either features a thinfilm sensor or a ceramic sensor, and is used to measure the relative and absolute pressures in liquid and gas media, as well as to measure the hydrostatic pressure in unpressurized tanks for level measurement.
With cost efficiency, optimal use of space, reliable operation, easy installation and commissioning the PEM-EX-L fulfills the requirements of modern process measurement technology.
In addition to the usual used 5-15 Hz output in underground mining, PEM-EX-L devices also have a 4-20 mA two-wire current loop. Because they use two-wire technology, our PEM-EX-L series make planning and implementing new plants considerably easier through lower installation effort. In addition, the technology increases the interference immunity of the transmitted measurement signal.
The sensor membranes of the PEM-EX‑L can either be on the inside or flush with the front, depending on customer requirements. The device has pipe-thread process connections (G1¼, G½, G¼), a DN10 socket nipple (DIN 20043) or a DN6 socket as standard.
