The compact, robust and reliable PEM‑EX‑C pressure transducer is used globally in underground mining for measuring relative and absolute pressures and the difference pressure in liquid and gas media, in combination with the Kirchgaesser multi-channel signal converter and display unit COMBA‑EX. Below, you will find a small selection of various application examples.
For measuring the difference pressure in liquids and gases, e.g. for monitoring filters and measuring the hydrostatic fill level in pressurized containers. In the process, two pressure sensors separately monitor the fill level on one side and the interior pressure in the container on the other side. This guarantees that it is possible to obtain a level measurement with accurate values, independent of the tank ventilation or pressurization in the container.
High-pressure pumps in wall-supply system inject hydraulic fluid into the wall. The emulsion is prepared via a pressureless stainless steel tank, whose fill level is measured hydrostatically using the Kirchgaesser PEM‑EX‑C pressure measuring device to prevent the system running dry. If the container's fill level fails to reach a specific level, the system's controller triggers a filling process. Using the multi-channel signal converter and display unit COMBA‑EX, the fill level is displayed locally and transmitted to the controller via its outputs.
