Level meter
- Measuring principle

The Kirchgaesser LEVEL‑EX level meter works with ultrasound pulses that are emitted and consequently reflected from the product surface.

Measuring principle

Measuring principle

  • The LEVEL‑EX level meter works in accordance with the pulse transit time method. The distance between the reference point and the product surface is measured. To do so, pulses are emitted from the LEVEL‑EX‑S transducer, reflected by the product surface and then received again. The measurement value is calculated based on the time difference between sending and receiving the signal.
  • Benefits:

    • Non-contact level measurement, no wear
    • No influence from product properties, such as relative permittivity, conductivity, density or humidity
