The robust and reliable MID‑EX‑GC large flow transducers provide cost-effective flow measurement with high measurement accuracy under different process conditions in underground mining. The flow meter is used to measure the flow of electrically conductive liquids such as water, emulsions, sludges, pulps and pastes. The devices can be used in large refrigeration plants to measure the flow of fresh and mine water, as well as hydraulic fluids, and to monitor hydraulic mine-waste delivery, for example. The transmitters are wear- and maintenance-free as they do not have any moving parts.
The device series has different nominal diameters from DN50 to DN300 (also with high-pressure couplings, e.g. SSKV heavy series, available as an option), and nominal pressure ranges from 10 bar (1 MPa) to 500 bar (50 MPa), and if requested by the customer, can be ordered with a measuring range from 0…100 l/min (DN50) to 0…1000 l/min (DN150) or from 0…10 m³/h (DN50) to 0…2000 m³/h (DN300).
The magnetic-inductive readings recorder is an integral part of the C‑series, which not only allows measurement values to be displayed locally, but also ensures small underground mining plants are controlled as cost-effectively as possible.
Pre-fabricated VCG-type connecting cables are available in different lengths to connect the Kirchgaesser multi-channel signal converter and display unit COMBA‑EX (not an integral part of the device, must be ordered separately).
