CCC, this abbreviation stands for China Compulsory Certification, which is a valid certification system in the People's Republic of China. This certification system is intended to create a uniform standard for selected products in the People's Republic of China and is based on the national GB standards and implementation regulations.
In order to export certain products to the China, they must have a valid CCC certificate. Our temperature measuring devices from the TEMEX product family, of which one variant is specially approved for Chinese underground mining (MA approval), also fall under the products requiring certification. We applied for CCC certification for this device in the middle of the year and recently received the CCC certificate from the Chinese central authority CNCA (Certification and Accreditation Administration).
Our electromagnetic flowmeters MID-EX-E are used worldwide in underground mining, among others on high-performance mining machines of well-known manufacturers. For use especially in Chinese underground mining, devices and systems must have MA approval, which is issued by the Mining Products Safety Approval and Certification Center (MA Center). After passing the MA approval procedure, which includes a factory audit and product tests, the MA Center issues a certificate with a validity of 5 years. In order to continue selling our MID-EX-E on the Chinese market in the future, we have applied for renewed MA approval for special variants of the product family. We were recently able to successfully complete the approval procedure.
We have recently been awarded the MA safety certificate by the Mining Products Safety Approval and Certification Center of China for our flow meter MID-EX-GL and for our temperature meter TEM-EX-N.

The new FDR57 / FQR57 microwave barrier with FTR525 process transmitter with control unit is used for the non-contact point level detection of powdery to chunky media and liquids as well as for the purpose of detecting and analyzing of deposits and contamination. With the new development, now it is also possible to detect bulk flow interruptions with simultaneous full and empty monitoring, for example for monitoring transfer chutes or transfer points of conveying processes.
The new and intuitive operating concept of the FTR525 with graphical display makes it easy to adapt the microwave barrier to the process. Different setup options (automatic or manual) with clear graphical display of the configured detection range and the current signal strength allow a very fine adjustment. Many configuration options, such as attenuation, switch-on and switch-off points as well as switch-on and switch-off delays help to adapt the device to the conditions of the application.
In the case where multiple sets of sensors are installed in close proximity to each other, the new multi-channel mode prevents the sets from influencing each other.
The new microwave barrier is designed for use in hazardous areas (dust and gas).

Companies, who export measuring instruments or other technical goods to the Eurasian customs union, have to go through the certification process of the “Eurasian Conformity”. The corresponding EAC marking is similar in content to the European CE marking.
Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan are a significant market for manufacturers of measuring instruments. These three countries are also founding members of the “Eurasian Economic Community”, to which other members of the “Commonwealth of Independent States” (CIS) have joined. For the export of measuring instruments into this customs union, as a rule, a conformity procedure must be passed. This confirms that the instruments conform to the requirements laid down in the technical regulations (in short: “TR CU”) of the member states.
Our microwave barrier FQR56/FDR56 and our flow indicator for bulk solids FTR20 have recently passed the conformity procedure and are thus conform to TR CU. The EAC declaration of conformity can be found in the "Documentation" section on the respective product page.
Quality is exceptionally important for us and it is something we systemically plan, coordinate and check. To this end, we have long had a quality management system in place, which we had certified by DEKRA Certification GmbH in accordance with DIN ISO 9001, the demanding quality management standard, as well as European directives 2014/34/EU (ATEX) and IECEx. Quality compliance, in all its aspects, is checked via regular audits.
DIN EN ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised standard that defines all the quality management requirements of an organisation. The latest version of the standard, DIN EN ISO 9001:2015, was published in September 2015.
Following this, in mid-December, our quality management system was successfully recertified by DEKRA Certification GmbH.
Due to international competition, price pressure in deep mining is constantly rising. This means that the measuring technology used has to be even more cost efficient. Most pressure and temperature meters used in deep mining today apply four-wire technology with separate supply and signal lines. Two-wire technology, on the other hand, only needs one cable with a duplex wire for power supply and transmission of the measurement signal.
Because they use two-wire technology, our new pressure and temperature meters PEM-EX-L and TEM-EX-L make planning and implementing new plants considerably easier through lower installation effort. In addition, the technology increases the interference immunity of the transmitted measurement signal.
Based on our tried and tested, high quality pressure and temperature meters PEM-EX and TEM-EX, we have developed two new models that can fulfil the increasing demands our customers put on their equipment. As well as the 4-20 mA two-wire current-loop described, our robust and reliable equipment also incorporate all the output signals used in deep mining.
